Put down roots
in the Galilee.

Like an olive tree, an Aliyah takes time to take root. We guide French-speaking families to Karmiel free of charge — with our experience, our mistakes and our love for this land.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about Aliyah to the Galilee

How do I make Aliyah from France?

You need to prove your connection to Judaism (a certificate from the Consistoire), then open your file with the Jewish Agency’s Global Center with a birth certificate and a criminal record extract. Go-Galil helps you at every step.

What support is there for settling in the Galilee?

On top of the absorption basket, the Galilee and the Negev offer additional grants and training. The Keren Layedidout also offers personalised support.

Is Go-Galil’s guidance free?

Yes, it is free. The association runs on volunteers and on your donations.

Why choose Karmiel rather than the centre of the country?

A green, more affordable town, 20 minutes from the sea, with varied jobs, good schools and a French-speaking community waiting for you.

Welcome home.

A question, a doubt, a wish? We answer in French, English and Hebrew.
